01 / SYNTIMO ACCESSIBILITY

One website. Different needs.

Choose the default light panel with blue accents or website colors. Edit the accent and background; text and focus colors adjust automatically for contrast. Preferences stay in your browser.

More readable text

Text size from 100 to 200%, a simple typeface and increased text spacing.

Contrast and links

High contrast and underlined links make content easier to find.

Keyboard and headings

A visible focus indicator and a heading list that moves focus to the selected section.

Less motion

Reduce CSS animations and transitions according to the reader’s preference.

Reading mask

A reading band follows the pointer or keyboard focus while dimming the surrounding area.

Mute sounds

Mute HTML5 audio and video, including newly added players. Turning it off restores each player’s previous mute state.

Hide images

Hide photos and background images while preserving layout. Interface icons remain available.

Highlight headings

A contrasting background and outline highlight existing H1–H6 headings.

02 / WORDPRESS + SYNTIMO CMS

On your platform.

The same panel, two integration options.

Package for Syntimo CMS

A component with local assets, a template include and publishable JS/CSS files. No database migrations.

Plugin for WordPress

A dedicated plugin adds the panel to your website. Preferences are stored in the browser, without external component telemetry.

03 / WCAG 2.2

WCAG 2.2 — a defined scope.

Panel tests cover the criteria below. They concern the component interface and do not constitute a claim of WCAG AA conformance for the whole website.

WCAG 2.2 criterionWhat was verified in the panel
2.1.1 · Keyboard ↗Buttons, switches and the slider can be operated without a mouse.
2.1.2 · No keyboard trap ↗Tab and Shift+Tab move within the open panel; Escape lets the user leave it.
2.4.3 · Focus order ↗Opening moves focus into the panel; closing restores it to the opener.
2.4.7 · Focus visible ↗A clear outline marks the focused control during keyboard navigation.
1.4.3 · Text contrast ↗Verified panel foreground/background pairs meet the minimum 4.5:1 text contrast.
4.1.2 · Name, role, value ↗Named native controls expose current values and the panel’s expanded state.

Text sizing, spacing and mute controls support needs related to criteria including 1.4.4, 1.4.12 and 1.4.2. The outcome depends on the content and implementation of the specific website.

The mask, hidden images and highlighted headings are additional preferences. They do not generate text alternatives or automatically repair heading structure.

04 / FAQ

Before you integrate.

Does the plugin make the entire website WCAG compliant?

No. Content, navigation, forms, media and complete processes need their own assessment. The panel complements accessible implementation; it does not replace an audit or code fixes.

What can it mute?

HTML5 audio and video in the page document. Players in external frames, Web Audio and embedded services may need their own sound controls.

What happens when I turn an option off?

The view returns to its original styles. Muting restores each player’s saved mute state; it does not automatically start playback.

How do I get started?
